My name is Jeff Devine and I’m writing about my passions as a musician, middle manager and a budding entrepreneur. I want to use this space as a platform to share and discuss my ideas and obsessions which currently include the illustrious rebirth of vinyl, scotch, entrepreneurship, scalable architecture, emerging technologies and music.
I work for NewMarket Administrative services, the global services arm of Allied World, as the Assistant Vice President of Architecture. I spend my days managing an architecture team and toying with executive dashboards while I spend my commute reading about NoSQL and functional programming. I’ve spent the last 7 years working in the P&C Insurance and Reinsurance world and I’m convinced no one would miss Enterprise Software if there was a better alternative. This what I’m now spending my nights on.
Originally from Indianapolis, I live in New York City with my wife Lauren Cregor Devine. We both long for cats, a second bedroom and more hours in the day. I used to curate a monthly gig in Long Island City called Creek Creative and am currently seeking lower maintenance musical opportunities.
